Which animals almost never get affected by a poison?

It is absolutely amazing, but these small and innocent from the first sight creatures as hedgehogs possess “supernatural” powers: they hardly ever get affected by a poison. What is even more fascinating, they are not sensitive not just to the bees venom and other poisonous insects but even to more serious enemies, like snakes. It is believed that a hedgehog can easily handle a doze of poison which would kill 20 people (or 45 rabbits).

Viper’s deadly poison, which brings death to quite big animals and even a human usually (except few occasions) doesn’t bring any harm to a hedgehog: even arsenium and hydrocyanic acid are not dangerous for this animal. The only “weak” spot of the hedgehog is its nose: if the hedgehog is not crafty enough  or a snake is way too fast, a hedgehog can eventually die if it gets bitten in this part of his tiny body.

By the way, one of the most useful organs of hedgehog is a nose as well: researchers claim that a hedgehog uses a nose for seeing and sensing his bag for quite far distances.
